Arcane Charging Connect
Software by Safer Charging

Spot the warning signs before they become faults.

Our own operational intelligence platform watches every charger’s live data. It can spot issues early, try the most likely remote fix first, and learn from every attempt. Engineers go to site only when they are really needed.

When a charger has a problem

Most platforms tell you when a charger has already failed.

Connect watches for the warning signs instead, so issues can be dealt with remotely, often before a driver ever notices.

How it works

Connect sits between your chargers and whatever runs them today.

  1. 1

    Connect

Each charger’s OCPP connection points to Connect, our live O&M platform. Initial setup can often be achieved remotely, but some chargers need an engineer on site. We handle this either way.

  2. 2

    Watch

Connect reads every message each charger sends, and looks for the patterns that tend to come before a fault: repeat suspends, missed heartbeats, odd meter readings.

  3. 3

    Act

When it sees an issue, Connect tries the remote fix that has worked best before on that make, model and firmware: a reset, a reconfiguration, a connector unlock.

  4. 4

    Learn

The result of every attempt is recorded, whether it worked or not, so the next choice is better informed. If a remote fix isn’t enough, an engineer goes with the diagnosis already done.

Self-teaching

A platform that gets better at choosing the fix.

Chargers are a mix of makes, models and firmware versions, and the same fault can need a different remedy on each. Every remote fix we attempt helps Connect choose better next time, on chargers of the same make, model and firmware.

What it does

Find it early. Fix it fast.

Warning signs flagged early

Repeat faults and the patterns that come before a failure are flagged, so they can be dealt with before drivers notice.

Remote fixes first

Resets, unlocks and reconfiguration from our side. Many issues are resolved with no site visit at all.

A signed report you keep

Every visit ends in a tested, signed report: electrical checks, diagnosis, outcome and sign-off with location.

Works with your stack

Keep the CPMS you have, or don’t have one at all.

Connect looks after the chargers. Payments, driver access and public charging are a CPMS’s job, so you choose whether you need one and which.

Private networks

Connect on its own

For depots, workplaces and private sites that don’t take payment. Connect is all the back office they need.

Built by the people who maintain chargers

Connect wasn’t built by a software house. It was built by a maintenance team.

Safer Charging looks after charge points for a living. Connect is our own software, written in-house around the faults we meet in the field and the fixes that work on them.

The engineers who answer your tickets are the same people the platform was built for. About Safer Charging

Portal access is charged annually on the number of sites you have with us. It is the whole cost of our Ad Hoc plan, and included in Core and Elite. Connect can be added on a monthly price per socket basis.
