These Platform Terms govern access to and use of the ChargeSafe platform, including the ChargeSafe website, ChargeSafe Surveyor mobile application, APIs, inspection software, reporting systems and associated services (collectively, the "Platform").
These Terms supplement the Safer Charging Website & App Terms of Use. Where there is any conflict, these Platform Terms shall prevail in relation to ChargeSafe.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
1. About ChargeSafe
ChargeSafe is a digital inspection and asset management platform owned and operated by Safer Charging Limited.
The Platform enables authorised users to:

undertake inspections;
-
complete accessibility assessments;
-
complete fire safety assessments;
-
record charger information;
-
capture photographs;
-
generate reports;
-
manage inspection programmes;
-
monitor assets;
-
analyse charging infrastructure;
-
benchmark performance.
2. Definitions
"Customer"
The organisation purchasing or using ChargeSafe services.
"User"
Any individual authorised by a Customer.
"Surveyor"
A User authorised to perform inspections.
"Inspection"
Any assessment undertaken using ChargeSafe.
"Inspection Data"
All information collected during inspections.
"Platform"
All ChargeSafe software, applications, databases, reports and services.
3. Customer Accounts
Customers are responsible for:

maintaining accurate account information;
-
authorising users;
-
removing users who no longer require access;
-
ensuring users comply with these Terms.
The Customer accepts responsibility for all activity conducted under its accounts.
4. User Accounts
Each user must have their own account.
Accounts must not be:
-
shared;
-
transferred;
-
sold;
-
rented.
Users must maintain secure passwords.
5. Inspection Standards
Users undertaking inspections agree to:
-
act honestly;
-
act professionally;
-
record genuine observations;
-
avoid conflicts of interest;
-
exercise reasonable skill and care;
-
comply with applicable training;
-
accurately represent findings.
Inspections must not be intentionally manipulated to achieve predetermined outcomes.
6. Inspection Verification
To preserve platform integrity we may verify inspections using:
-
GPS location;
-
timestamps;
-
metadata;
-
photographs;
-
audit logs;
-
device identifiers;
-
inspection history;
-
quality assurance reviews.
Failure of verification may result in inspections being rejected.
7. Surveyor Safety
ChargeSafe does not directly control how inspections are undertaken.
Surveyors remain responsible for:
-
their own personal safety;
-
complying with site rules;
-
complying with health and safety legislation;
-
using appropriate PPE;
-
determining whether it is safe to continue an inspection.
Nothing within the Platform should be interpreted as safety advice.
8. Inspection Accuracy
Users warrant that submitted information is:
-
accurate;
-
complete;
-
honest;
-
not misleading.
Knowingly submitting false information constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
9. Photographs
Inspection photographs should:
-
accurately represent observed conditions;
-
not be altered in any misleading manner;
-
not intentionally omit relevant defects.
Users grant Safer Charging Limited the licence necessary to process, store and reproduce submitted photographs for operating the Platform.
10. Ownership of Customer Data
Subject to payment of applicable fees, Customers retain ownership of:
-
inspection records relating to their own assets;
-
uploaded documents;
-
uploaded photographs;
-
customer notes.
11. Ownership of Platform IP
Safer Charging Limited owns all rights in:
-
software;
-
databases;
-
inspection methodology;
-
accessibility methodology;
-
fire safety methodology;
-
scoring algorithms;
-
inspection workflows;
-
report templates;
-
inspection forms;
-
risk models;
-
grading systems;
-
dashboards;
-
APIs;
-
documentation;
-
training content;
-
source code;
-
AI models;
-
benchmarking systems;
-
derived methodologies;
-
future improvements.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of these rights.
12. Licence Granted to Customers
Customers receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Platform solely for their internal business purposes.
The licence does not permit:
-
resale;
-
sublicensing;
-
copying methodologies;
-
creating competing products;
-
reverse engineering;
-
commercial exploitation.
13. Benchmarking
Safer Charging Limited may aggregate inspection information to produce:
-
industry benchmarks;
-
safety statistics;
-
accessibility reports;
-
anonymised performance indicators;
-
research publications.
Published benchmarking shall not identify individual customers unless expressly authorised.
14. Artificial Intelligence
Customers may not use ChargeSafe data, reports or methodologies to:
-
train AI systems;
-
train machine learning models;
-
generate competing software;
-
reproduce inspection methodologies.
Likewise, Safer Charging Limited will not use identifiable customer inspection data to train external artificial intelligence models without an appropriate lawful basis and any required permissions.
15. API Access
Where APIs are provided:
Customers must not:
-
exceed published limits;
-
share credentials;
-
attempt unauthorised access;
-
extract excessive data;
-
interfere with service availability.
API access may be suspended at any time where misuse is suspected.
16. Data Export
Customers may export their own inspection data where functionality permits.
Export does not include:
-
proprietary methodologies;
-
scoring logic;
-
algorithms;
-
software;
-
benchmarking data;
-
report templates;
-
platform analytics.
17. Availability
We aim for high platform availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
Maintenance may occur without prior notice where necessary for security or operational reasons.
18. Updates
We may:
-
add features;
-
remove features;
-
modify inspection criteria;
-
improve scoring methodologies;
-
change workflows.
We are under no obligation to maintain previous functionality.
19. Suspension
We may suspend access immediately where:
-
fraudulent activity is suspected;
-
accounts are compromised;
-
payment obligations remain outstanding;
-
intellectual property is threatened;
-
security is compromised;
-
these Terms are breached.
20. Data Retention
Inspection information will be retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy and contractual obligations.
Following account termination we may retain data where required for:
-
legal compliance;
-
dispute resolution;
-
fraud prevention;
-
audit requirements.
21. Confidential Information
Users shall not disclose confidential information including:
-
methodologies;
-
software;
-
unpublished reports;
-
source code;
-
pricing;
-
commercial information.
22. No Professional Advice
ChargeSafe provides inspection tools and reporting.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, nothing within the Platform constitutes:
-
engineering advice;
-
legal advice;
-
fire engineering certification;
-
statutory compliance certification;
-
professional design advice.
Customers remain responsible for their own operational decisions.
23. Limitation of Liability
Inspection reports reflect observations made at the time of inspection.
Conditions may subsequently change.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Safer Charging Limited accepts no responsibility for losses arising from:
-
deterioration occurring after inspection;
-
undiscovered latent defects;
-
customer failure to act;
-
misuse of reports;
-
third-party modifications.
Nothing excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.
24. Intellectual Property Infringement
If any user copies, reproduces or commercially exploits ChargeSafe methodologies, software, report formats or inspection frameworks without written permission, Safer Charging Limited reserves all rights to pursue:

injunctive relief;
-
damages;
-
recovery of legal costs;
-
termination of access.
25. Termination
Customers may terminate in accordance with their service agreement.
Safer Charging Limited may terminate immediately where there has been:
-
fraud;
-
deliberate misuse;
-
repeated contractual breaches;
-
unlawful activity;
-
intellectual property infringement.
26. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
27. Jurisdiction
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
