Part 3 of 4 explaining the start of our EV charging maintenance services.

I discuss playing 'chase the cable' in this video, it's a fun game, I don't know why it's never taken off in a bigger way.


All you need to do is follow a supply cable back to its source; sounds easy, right? It's often harder than you think. If the route disappears below ground, through walls, into crawlspaces etc. you may be relying on drawings to tell you where that cable heads back to. I've seen countless situations where those drawings are not available, circuit charts are not updated or site managers have no knowledge of where chargers are fed from. This is really not a good situation to find yourself in, particularly should you need to act fast in an emergency.


By taking the time to get this right, we can also pick up on potential hazards, like damaged firestopping or poorly buried cable, upon revisit as part of an EV charging maintenance routine.
